From an user of the older 1st generation models, the new slim was quite a change from the clunky older models. The slim was not only much quieter than the older models, but also much skinner than the older fatty models. The slim runs quiet and is relatively cooler than the older models so hypothetically it should not break down as likely as their predecessors. I haven’t really done any intensive tests with the system after setting it up but a couple of hours of Call of Duty didn’t seem to strain the system too heavily. The xbox is a decent system that can play many of the multiplatform games without trouble.
